The wealth of landlords matters because I was talking about fairness. It's unfair that those who have done nothing except inherit lots of money and property be able to make profits off of others who are barely getting by. In lots of cities, there is a lack of affordable housing because wealthy developers have bought all available housing to rent at high prices, making it too expensive for locals to buy or rent.
