What a poignant example of our cultural inability to slow down. It reminds me how we've lost touch with the gift of silence and how this silence can so often be such a generative space of creative energy. I'm thinking of Fred Rogers and how once on the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, he let an egg timer run for sixty seconds to demonstrate how long a minute is.
